My lovely friend Megan was in town this past weekend.
One very happy Tamsham
I had heard about the carousel from my amazing co-worker Beth, whom I adore, and I'm so glad we went to see it. It is in Dumbo, right on the water. It is this beautiful restored (it took 27 years!) carousel that immediately transported me back to my youth of watching the horses go around and around, waiting until I saw the perfect horse that I would sit on during the ride. It took me back to spending time with my nephew; one of his favorite things to do was ride the carousel. I was so captivated by the nostalgia, the setting, the beauty...the amazingness of this reality that is my life. I truly felt like I was in a movie (my own Amelie) and my happy tears just started falling...
After my tears had dried, we walked over to the
Tobacco Warehouse where there were all sorts of activities for kiddos. My favorite part was the chalk walls...and wouldn't you know it, I had chalk in my purse from my
Happy Tuesday adventures! I heard a couple requesting chalk from one of the volunteers, who replied that they had no more. I went to give some of my chalk to the couple, and it turned out to be Jadie Wasilco, one of my former students from Roseville School of Dance! I'm telling ya, I fall more and more in love with my boyfriend the more time we spend together. New York City, I heart you major.
